Notice of the Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Indonesia on the Implementation of Temporary Measures for the Travel of Chinese and Foreign Personnel

In case of inconsistency with previous regulations, this notice shall prevail.)

According to the Chinese government’s plan for the travel of Chinese and foreign personnel after applying Class B management on COVID-19, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Indonesia will implement the following measures from January 8, 2023:

1. Nucleic Acid Test before Boarding

(1) All Chinese and foreign nationals taking international passenger flights from Indonesia to China should take nucleic acid test 48 hours before boarding. Those with negative results can enter China.

(2) Personnel with negative nucleic acid test should faithfully fill in the Health Declaration form through “Customs Pocket Declaration” WeChat mini-program, “China Customs” APP, or the entry-exit health declaration website:

There is no need to apply for Health Code (including Health Declaration Certificate for foreigners) from the Chinese Embassy andConsulates General in Indonesia.

(3) Personnel with positive nucleic acid test can enter China when the test result turns negative.

2. Quarantine upon Arrival

People traveling to China are requested to complete necessary customs clearance procedures by using customs health declaration code after arriving at Chinese ports by plane. Those who have normal health declaration and normal routine customs quarantine inspection will be allowed to engage in social activities.

3. Health Protection

In order to act responsibly for one’s own and other’s health, people traveling to China should protect themselves against COVID-19 by wearing masks during travel, keeping social distance at airports and other public spaces, and complying with the anti-epidemic protocols of airlines on board.

4. Visa to China

The Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Indonesia will further provide visa facilitation for foreign nationals going to China for work, business, study, family visit, and reunion. Visa issuance for applicants who want to travel to China for personal affairs such as tourism and medical treatment are still suspended.

5. Further notice will be issued by the Chinese Embassy and Consulates General ifthere is any adjustment to the above temporary measures.
